Data and Platform Architect (m/f/d)
Join us!
At IntegrityNext, we are building a shared AI and data platform on AWS on top of our supply chain and product compliance platform. This platform will power semantic data access, BI, APIs, and agentic product experiences.
Our platform is initially centered on PostgreSQL-backed structured data and will evolve toward support for unstructured data and more lakehouse-style capabilities on AWS. We work hands-on across Python-based platform services, data pipelines, SQL/PostgreSQL-based data architecture, and AWS-based integrations, while collaborating closely with Java-based product systems.
We work according to the principle “You build it, you run it”: platform capabilities are owned end-to-end, from design and implementation to operational responsibility in production. We also follow spec-driven development and actively use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools.
This is a hands-on architect role with a strong engineering focus. We expect roughly 70% hands-on engineering work and 30% architectural guidance, design reviews, and technical alignment.
What can you expect?
- Own and evolve the shared data platform foundation, including data models, pipelines, storage patterns, and access layers
- Design scalable architectures that enable reliable and reusable data usage across the company
- Define clear integration boundaries and platform patterns
- Define canonical data models, reusable business entities, and semantic structures
- Ensure data models preserve business meaning and support BI, API, and AI use cases
- Establish consistent access patterns for downstream consumption
- Actively contribute to hands-on implementation, not just architecture
- Build platform components, work on complex engineering tasks, and pair with engineers
- Turn platform concepts into production-ready systems
- Define and enforce data contracts, schema standards, and integration patterns
- Collaborate closely with solution teams to build stable, reusable interfaces
- Ensure consistency across domain systems and the central platform
- Drive architecture decisions across data, platform, and integration topics
- Balance long-term maintainability with pragmatic delivery needs
- Guide the evolution from a PostgreSQL-based setup toward lakehouse-style and unstructured data capabilities
- Help shape future API access patterns and data product strategies
- Support production readiness through design and code reviews, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Continuously improve reliability, maintainability, and operational robustness
- Explore and apply spec-driven development and AI-assisted engineering workflows
- Help establish modern engineering practices that improve quality, speed, and team effectiveness
What should you bring along?

- Experience designing data pipelines, integration layers, access patterns, and data contracts across systems
- Solid experience with AWS (compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring)
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures (e.g. EventBridge), as well as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation
- Experience with data quality, lineage, and observability
- Experience with lakehouse architectures and analytical data platforms
- Experience with unstructured or hybrid data architectures
- Experience with dbt, orchestration tools, and modern ELT/ETL practices

- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to both design and build systems hands-on
- Focus on clean, maintainable, and well-tested engineering practices
- Comfortable working in evolving, ambiguous environments, evaluating tools and defining standards
- Confident in reviewing designs and code and improving long-term system quality
- Comfortable with spec-driven development, schema evolution, and AI-assisted workflows
- Willing to contribute across layers to enable end-to-end outcomes
- Clear, pragmatic communicator who can challenge assumptions constructively
- Strong collaboration with product, domain, and engineering teams, including Java-based environments
